NOT TO LIVE IN SIN

Rom 6:1 What shall we say, then? Should we continue to live in sin so that God's grace will increase?

Rom 6:2 Certainly not! We have died to sin---how then can we go on living in it?

Rom 6:3 For surely you know that when we were baptized into union with Christ Jesus, we were baptized into union with his death.

Rom 6:4 By our baptism, then, we were buried with him and shared his death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from death by the glorious power of the Father, so also we might live a new life.

Rom 6:5 For since we have become one with him in dying as he did, in the same way we shall be one with him by being raised to life as he was.

Rom 6:6 And we know that our old being has been put to death with Christ on his cross, in order that the power of the sinful self might be destroyed, so that we should no longer be the slaves of sin.

Rom 6:7 For when we die, we are set free from the power of sin.

Rom 6:8 Since we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

Rom 6:9 For we know that Christ has been raised from death and will never die again---death will no longer rule over him.

Rom 6:10 And so, because he died, sin has no power over him; and now he lives his life in fellowship with God.

Rom 6:11 In the same way you are to think of yourselves as dead, so far as sin is concerned, but living in fellowship with God through Christ Jesus.

Rom 6:12 Sin must no longer rule in your mortal bodies, so that you obey the desires of your natural self.

Rom 6:13 Nor must you surrender any part of yourselves to sin to be used for wicked purposes. Instead, give yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life, and surrender your whole being to him to be used for righteous purposes.

Rom 6:14 Sin must not be your master; for you do not live under law but under God's grace.

Rom 6:15 What, then? Shall we sin, because we are not under law but under God's grace? By no means!

Rom 6:16 Surely you know that when you surrender yourselves as slaves to obey someone, you are in fact the slaves of the master you obey---either of sin, which results in death, or of obedience, which results in being put right with God.

Rom 6:17 But thanks be to God! For though at one time you were slaves to sin, you have obeyed with all your heart the truths found in the teaching you received.

Rom 6:18 You were set free from sin and became the slaves of righteousness.

Rom 6:19 (I use everyday language because of the weakness of your natural selves.) At one time you surrendered yourselves entirely as slaves to impurity and wickedness for wicked purposes. In the same way you must now surrender yourselves entirely as slaves of righteousness for holy purposes.

Rom 6:20 When you were the slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness.

Rom 6:21 What did you gain from doing the things that you are now ashamed of ? The result of those things is death!

Rom 6:22 But now you have been set free from sin and are the slaves of God. Your gain is a life fully dedicated to him, and the result is eternal life.

Rom 6:23 For sin pays its wage---death; but God's free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord.

Joh 8:34 Jesus said to them, "I am telling you the truth: everyone who sins is a slave

Joh 8:11 "No one, sir," she answered. "Well, then," Jesus said, "I do not condemn you either. Go, but do not sin again."

Rom 3:20 For no one is put right in God's sight by doing what the Law requires; what the Law does is to make us know that we have sinned.

Rom 3:21 But now God's way of putting people right with himself has been revealed. It has nothing to do with law, even though the Law of Moses and the prophets gave their witness to it.

Rom 3:22 God puts people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, because there is no difference at all:

Rom 3:23 everyone has sinned and is far away from God's saving presence.

Rom 3:24 But by the free gift of God's grace all are put right with him through Christ Jesus, who sets them free. { set free from sin}

Rom 8:1 There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus.

Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit, which brings us life in union with Christ Jesus, has set me free from the law of sin and death.

Rom 8:3 What the Law could not do, because human nature was weak, God did. He condemned sin in human nature by sending his own Son, who came with a nature like our sinful nature, to do away with sin.

Rom 8:4 God did this so that the righteous demands of the Law might be fully satisfied in us who live according to the Spirit, and not according to human nature.

Rom 8:5 Those who live as their human nature tells them to, have their minds controlled by what human nature wants. Those who live as the Spirit tells them to, have their minds controlled by what the Spirit wants.

Rom 8:6 To be controlled by human nature results in death; to be controlled by the Spirit results in life and peace.

Rom 8:7 And so people become enemies of God when they are controlled by their human nature; for they do not obey God's law, and in fact they cannot obey it.

Rom 8:8 Those who obey their human nature cannot please God.

Rom 8:9 But you do not live as your human nature tells you to; instead, you live as the Spirit tells you to---if, in fact, God's Spirit lives in you. Whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

Rom 8:10 But if Christ lives in you, the Spirit is life for you because you have been put right with God, even though your bodies are going to die because of sin.

Rom 8:11 If the Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from death, lives in you, then he who raised Christ from death will also give life to your mortal bodies by the presence of his Spirit in you.

Rom 8:12 So then, my friends, we have an obligation, but it is not to live as our human nature wants us to.

Rom 14:23 But if they have doubts about what they eat, God condemns them when they eat it, because their action is not based on faith. And anything that is not based on faith is sin.

1Co 6:11 Some of you were like that. But you have been purified from sin ; you have been dedicated to God; you have been put right with God by the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

2Co 5:21 Christ was without sin , but for our sake God made him share our sin in order that in union with him we might share the righteousness of God.

Heb 10:14 With one sacrifice, then, he has made perfect forever those who are purified from sin.

Heb 10:29 What, then, of those who despise the Son of God? who treat as a cheap thing the blood of God's covenant which purified them from sin? who insult the Spirit of grace? Just think how much worse is the punishment they will deserve!

Heb 10:30 For we know who said, "I will take revenge, I will repay"; and who also said, "The Lord will judge his people."

Heb 10:31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God!

Heb 12:1 As for us, we have this large crowd of witnesses around us. So then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us.

(KJVR) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Heb 13:12 For this reason Jesus also died outside the city, in order to purify the people from sin with his own blood.

Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

1Pe 2:24 Christ himself carried our sins in his body to the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. It is by his wounds that you have been healed.

2Pe 1:4 In this way he has given us the very great and precious gifts he promised, so that by means of these gifts you may escape from the destructive lust that is in the world, and may come to share the divine nature.

2Pe 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: a heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1Jn 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him

1Jn 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

1Jn 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1Jn 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
