True Repentance unto Conversion with Scritpures Part 2
6 Now you (repent)turn from your own self rule and turn to Him to come in and rule your life once and for all. In this process you forsake individual wicked ways drugs, alcohol, pornography, bitterness etc. You make this choice with your will based on what your mind knows is truth. You forsake your right to rule yourself ever again and forsake the things of the world (mans ways.)
Luk 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Act 8:22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
Mat 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny(die to self rule) himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mat 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. (die to self rule)
Rom 6:6 And we know that our old being has been put to death with Christ on his cross, in order that the power of the sinful self might be destroyed, so that we should no longer be the slaves of sin.
Rom 6:7 For when we die, we are set free from the power of sin.
Rom 6:8 Since we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
Rom 6:16 Surely you know that when you surrender yourselves as slaves to obey someone, you are in fact the slaves of the master you obey---either of sin, which results in death, or of obedience, which results in being put right with God.
Rom 6:17 But thanks be to God! For though at one time you were slaves to sin, you have obeyed with all your heart the truths found in the teaching you received.
Rom 6:18 You were set free from sin and became the slaves of righteousness.
1Pe 2:24 Christ himself carried our sins in his body to the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. It is by his wounds that you have been healed.
7 . If God accepts your repentance, your turning (and only He can look upon your heart and know if it is true and honest ) then He reaches His hand down and places it on your head and forgives you personally. This is not merely a legal contract you have entered into ( although the law has been satisfied) but a personal revealing of Jesus Christ Himself to you.
God looks on the heart
1Sa 16:7 But the LORD said to him, "Pay no attention to how tall and handsome he is. I have rejected him, because I do not judge as people judge. They look at the outward appearance, but I look at the heart."
1Ki 8:39 hear their prayer. Listen to them in your home in heaven, forgive them, and help them. You alone know the thoughts of the human heart. Deal with each person as he deserves,
Rev 2:23 I will also kill her followers, and then all the churches will know that I am the one who knows everyone's thoughts and wishes. I will repay each of you according to what you have done.
Christ revealed to you
Gal 1:12 I did not receive it from any human being, nor did anyone teach it to me. It was Jesus Christ himself who revealed it to me.
Rom 16:25 Let us give glory to God! He is able to make you stand firm in your faith, according to the Good News I preach about Jesus Christ and according to the revelation of the secret truth which was hidden for long ages in the past.
Eph 1:17 and ask the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, to give you the Spirit, who will make you wise and reveal God to you, so that you will know him.
2Co 4:6 The God who said, "Out of darkness the light shall shine!" is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts, to bring us the knowledge of God's glory shining in the face of Christ.
Mat 16:17 "Good for you, Simon son of John!" answered Jesus. "For this truth did not come to you from any human being, but it was given to you directly by my Father in heaven.8. He forgives, cleanses and washes your temple. If repentance is full and true He will reveal the cross to you-that His sacrifice was made for you personally and you will understand and experience His washing, cleansing and forgiveness by His blood.(emotional feel, envision, or inward revelation). It will be revealed to your soul. It will be a very deep emotional, cathartic , transforming experience. No other relationship in this world can touch you so deeply. No one will have to assure you of your salvation ever because you have a personal revelation from God Himself of it.
Forgiveness
Mat 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.Luk 5:20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.God reveals truth reveal to you
Mat 16:17 "Good for you, Simon son of John!" answered Jesus. "For this truth did not come to you from any human being, but it was given to you directly by my Father in heaven.Gal 1:11 Let me tell you, my friends, that the gospel I preach is not of human origin.
Gal 1:12 I did not receive it from any human being, nor did anyone teach it to me. It was Jesus Christ himself who revealed it to me.
1Co 2:10 But it was to us that God made known his secret by means of his Spirit. The Spirit searches everything, even the hidden depths of God's purposes.
Mat 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
Psa 51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
9. Then you invite Him to come into your heart to rule and reign supremely forever! When He makes entrance by His Spirit, you now are converted and are ruled by the loving King of the universe. The fellowship with Him is divine, loving ,kind and blissful. The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords lives in your heart!! You have found the true rest and peace for your soul. You cry Abba Father-a child of God.
Joh 17:23 (Jesus said) I in them and you in me, so that they may be completely one, in order that the world may know that you sent me and that you love them as you love me.
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Rom 8:10 But if Christ lives in you, the Spirit is life for you because you have been put right with God, even though your bodies are going to die because of sin.
2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in loveGal 4:6 To show that you are his children, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who cries out, "Father, my Father."
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
10. Now that Christ is reigning in your heart, indwelling you, self-rule has been abolished, therefore sin has been abolished. Sin now has no rule over you! You are free and liberated from the bondage of sin! The things of the world have no hold over you. All the sinful activity you were involved in holds no interest to you, you only have eyes for your Savior. You are translated from the dark into His marvelous light, made a brand new creature, a born again soul. He is your Way, your Truth, and your Life, now and forever-on earth and in Heaven.
Joh 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
Joh 8:35 And the servant abideth not in the house forever: but the Son abideth ever.
Joh 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. (dead from self rule)
Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Tit 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Heb 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.11. Now you grow in His grace and love. Your mind is renewed day by day, you and the Spirit change your thinking from the worlds ways to Gods ways. You have an incredible hunger for His Words and spending time with Him through prayer. You will have great reverence and fear for the Lord. You walk in Holiness with the Lord. You work together with Him as a co-working together. Now the adventure begins……
Isa 57:15 "I am the high and holy God, who lives forever. I live in a high and holy place, but I also live with people who are humble and repentant, so that I can restore their confidence and hope.
Psa 25:9 He leads the humble in the right way and teaches them his will.
Love of God
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savor.Fear and reverence for the Lord God
Pro 15:33 Reverence for the LORD is an education in itself. You must be humble before you can ever receive honors.
Pro 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
Pro 14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
Psa 89:7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
Luk 20:13 Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him.
2Co 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Heb 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
Rev 19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
Holiness
Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
1Th 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
Heb 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Summary:
Tit 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
Tit 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Tit 3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;
Tit 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
